Why “Dog Math” is the Best TikTok Trend for Pet Lovers Right Now!
“You’ve heard of girl math, boy math, all the maths. But now it’s time for ‘dog math’,” a golden retriever in glasses opens the latest viral Tiktok trend.
The trend was born of “Girl Math”, where women share their mental maths. For example, if I buy dinner for all my friends and they Venmo me their share, I made money. Or, if I get 1 shirt for 50% off, I can get another 1 for free.
But the trend morphed quickly into Gay Math, CEO Math, and Corporate Math.
That’s when I decided to put glasses on my golden retriever, and dog math was born!
Dog Math is Going Viral
Within 3 days it hit 500k views and over 30k likes.
Other dog owners started using the sound to show their dogs lying on towels instead of their pristine beds, demanding eternal belly rubs, and getting angry that dinner wasn’t 3 minutes early.
The trend focuses on dog calculations, from Professor Theo while he sits on a couch wearing my glasses, “your human has 2 hands and both should be petting you at all times” and “the limit of belly rubs does not exist.”
Another video made mimicking the trend with their own math went even more viral, racking up over 1.3 million views in just 5 days.
Dog lovers have been stitching their audio and driving the viral trend even farther!
But as with all trends, it kept blossoming new sub trends. One of my favourites is “Weiner dog math. But you’ll also find “Chihuahua math”, dog-specific math, “Golden Retriever math”, and even cat math!
the Most Wholesome Trend on Tiktok
I love that the trend has even started to make its way over to Instagram where my audio suddenly appeared on my Explore page with a different golden retriever.
The “Dog Math” trend is a beautiful one that lets dog owners celebrate the weirdness of their dog.
From them ignoring the hundreds of dollars you spend on beds for their comfort so they can sleep on the floor, to their inability to tell time and determining that if you leave you’ve been gone for 100 years no matter what.
It’s bringing dog owners together as they share their pups of all shapes, sizes, and ages miscalculating math and probably driving the mathematicians on Tiktok insane.
It’s another way for our hilarious furry pals to bring more joy and laughter into our lives.
So, whether you’re a dog lover or simply in search of a daily dose of joy, the “Dog Math” trend on TikTok is a delightful destination.
