Hey! Iā€™m Nina and this is my dog Theo. together we explore the world – and we want to show you how you can too, even with a 70lb+ dog!

I’ve been a full time traveler since 2017. But when I got my dog I worried it would be over. I mean, a golden retriever isn’t exactly carry on sized.

But I found a way! And together Theo and I have been to dozens of cities, on countless hikes, and even on a plethora of dinner dates.

I want to help you do the same so your best pet friend doesn’t have to stay at home while you have all the fun without them.

I want to teach you:

  • Pet travel doesn’t have to be expensive
  • Even larger dogs or different species of pets can travel with you
  • How to have the most fun with your pet abroad

Why Bother Traveling With Your Pet?

My dog Theo is my best friend.

It’s cliche I know, but he’s literally the being on this planet I want to spend all my time with. But as a travel writer and full time traveler, I knew I’d be on the road full time.

And if I own a dog, I’m not leaving him with friends or family 90% of the year!

So I challenged myself to find new ways to travel that would allow me to bring him with me on my adventures.

Together we’ve explored Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and California – and we’re on our way to 7+ countries in Europe and the Caribbean 2023!

I’ve found ways to have fun traveling while factoring in the most important man in my life – my golden retriever! And I want to help you do the same <3

Meet Theo

Theo is my 1.5 year old red golden retriever. His breed is also known as a “Canadian golden retriever”, which is ironic because his genetics are from an American golden line.

He’s 67-70lb (depending on how many pigs ears he’s eaten!) lovable bundle of energy. He’s literally so cute he delayed a cruise ship departure in Halifax!

Theo is a trained service dog registered in Canada. But most of our travels involve him out of vest, so he can live his best puppy life.

He was trained by me in conjunction with Watch My 6 Service Dogs.

Theo’s favourite things are:

  • Belly rubs (he’s pudding for a good belly scratch!)
  • Jumping through piles of snow and making snow angels
  • Eating all the treats – especially dried rabbit!
